Danish Glögg

The perfect winter warmer... particularly these days when forced to socialise outside

Place the following ingredients in a pan and warm over a medium heat.
¾ litre of water
250g light muscovado sugar
2 bottles of red wine
1 cup of rum
1-2 cinnamon sticks

Then add the following and simmer for 5 minutes.
50g raisins
50g almonds
A muslin bag with 5 cloves & 5 cardamom pods

Serve in heatproof glasses/mugs with long spoons to eat the raisins and the almonds.
