Pies, pasties, profiteroles and crispy filo parcels: there is so much joy to be found wrapped in pastry!

Whether you’re a complete novice or just lacking confidence and inspiration, come and spend a delicious day at Linnels Farm and let us teach you the techniques, recipes and baking tips you need to turn out tantalising tarts without breaking a sweat.

In this course you will learn how to make basic shortcrust, sweet shortcrust, hot water crust, and  choux recipes.
You’ll learn the techniques of rubbing in butter and bringing dough together, the importance of keeping everything cool, and of resting doughs, rolling out, blind baking, baking choux buns, sealing pastry, crimping & glazing, using filo and those all important steam holes.

The class includes all ingredients, as well as a chef-prepared 2-course lunch and refreshments along the way.

You’ll depart will all the knowledge and confidence, plus your own recipe book to continue making your own pastry successfully at home.
