Yorkshire Tweed Tote - bag making workshop
WEDNESDAY, May 27, 2026
09:30 - 16:30pm
with Emma 'Hole House Bags'
So you have a sewing machine, but you thought making 'proper' bags required a heavy duty model and a textiles degree?
Absolutely not ... if you have a decent domestic sewing machine and can thread it and sew a straight line, you can make a bag. If you can sew a curved line, then you'll be an expert in no time!
Under the careful guidance of Emma you will make a beautiful tote bag in British Tweed lined with a choice of Indian Cotton. It's hard-wearing, has beautiful leather handles and will no doubt become a bag to treasure.
This is guaranteed to be a fun and relaxing day - you simply turn up on the day along with your sewing machine and we'll provide everything else, and keep you weel fed and watered along the way.
What’s included:
Morning coffee and refreshment on arrival.
Absolutely all the materials you’ll need to make your bag:
- British Tweed woven in Yorkshire mills
- Indian cotton – you will have a choice of linings
- Leather handles
You will be fuelled with refreshments along the way including a 2 course lunch by a local chef.
You will need your own Sewing Machine in good working order.
